Handledex lists only social media accounts that we could confirm as official.
Our evidence is two things: the source and the check date. A source is a page published by someone other than the account itself — the person's official website, or the official page of their agency, label, team or organisation — that links to or lists the account. Every profile page shows its source URLs and check date.
Verification badges are not proof. Meta Verified and X's checkmark can be bought as subscriptions, so they do not show that an account is official.
"Verified", "no official account" and "not confirmed" are kept separate. Verified: confirmed through a source. No official account: the official site lists its social accounts and this platform is missing. Not confirmed: public information was not enough to decide — it does not mean the account doesn't exist. In the last two cases, an account using the same name has not been confirmed as official.
Figures are as of the check date. Follower counts are shown only when a value was recorded at the time of checking; nothing is estimated. Links may have changed since the check date.
Coverage: of 6,851 people and organisations checked, the 4,539 with at least one confirmed official account are listed. Confirmed accounts by platform: Instagram 3,615 / X 3,233 / YouTube 1,431 / TikTok 1,258 / Threads 196 / Weibo 49 / Xiaohongshu 2 / Douyin 1 / bilibili 1.
